Here are our household furkids: Peanut (DMH orange), Piston (DLH Tabby), and Rex (Shepherd/Retriever Mix). All three of these beautiful boys were adopted from our local shelters. Peanut and Piston were adopted together, but they are a month apart in age (they are almost 4yo). Rex is about 7 years old, and is a lover, not a fighter. He gets upset when the cats play fight and rushes to break things up, although he is quite intimidated by Piston. Rex gets a little jealous when I give the cats any attention, and gives me a little whine to vocalize his displeasure before he noses his way in to get some smooches.
Right now, the big cats think that Cosmo is a little too rambunctious… typical kid! Cosmo likes to sneak up on them and jump on them from behind. Peanut tolerates the roughhousing for a little while, but soon tires of it and walks away. Piston doesn’t want to have anything to do with roughhousing OR cuddling, and gives a hiss and walks away.
